Maple Bacon Pizza

This sweet and savory pizza is a crowd-pleaser that showcases the rich complexity of Maple Dark Balsamic Vinegar paired with the luxurious Butter Infused Olive Oil. The combination creates a perfect balance between crispy bacon, caramelized onions, and the sweet-tangy maple glaze.
Tip: For extra flavor, caramelize the onions in a bit of Butter Infused Olive Oil before adding to the pizza.

Ingredients
- 1 store-bought pizza dough (or pre-made pizza crust)
3 tablespoons Butter Infused Olive Oil, divided
- 8 oz mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 6-8 strips bacon, cooked crispy and chopped
- 1/2 red onion, thinly sliced
3 tablespoons Maple Dark Balsamic Vinegar
- 1 tablespoon maple syrup
- Fresh arugula or spinach (optional, for topping after baking)
- Red pepper flakes (optional)
- Sea salt and black pepper

Preheat oven to 450°F (230°C). If using pizza dough, roll out on a floured surface to desired thickness. Transfer to a pizza pan or baking sheet. Brush the dough with 2 tablespoons of Butter Infused Olive Oil. Sprinkle with a pinch of salt and pepper.

In a small bowl, whisk together Maple Dark Balsamic Vinegar and maple syrup. Set aside half for drizzling after baking.

Spread half the mozzarella cheese over the oiled dough. Scatter the chopped bacon evenly over the cheese. Add the sliced red onion. Drizzle half of the maple balsamic glaze over the toppings. Top with remaining mozzarella cheese.
