Baked Tilapia

A delicious and healthy fish recipe for Lent that the whole family will enjoy.


Yield: 4 servings

Prep Time: 5 minutes

Cook Time: 10-15 minutes (varies by oven temperature and texture preference)

Ingredients:

  • 4 tilapia filets (6 oz. each)
  • 3 tablespoons Green Olive Company Butter Infused Olive Oil
  • 3 tablespoons Green Olive Company Lemon Fused Olive Oil
  • 1 tablespoon Old Bay Seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Optional: Lemon slices, fresh parsley, and an olive oil mister. See Bonus Tips below.

Instructions


  1. Preheat oven to 425°
  2. Pat tilapia filets dry of excess moisture with a paper towel. Place them in a 13" x 9" baking dish, lined with parchment paper. Pre-fill an olive oil atomizer/mister with olive oils and spritz filets evenly, or brush olive oils lightly onto the fish with a basting brush. Sprinkle with Old Bay Seasoning.
  3. Place the uncovered baking dish into preheated oven for 10-15 minutes or until the fish flakes easily with a fork. (Temperatures may may vary 145°-165° depending on texture preference and oven.) Remove from the oven and let rest for 1-10 minutes. Finish with a dusting of smoked paprika to taste. Garnish with fresh sliced lemon and parsley if desired.


BONUS TIPS:
 An oil mister is recommended for saving time and oil. Drizzle the plated fish with Green Olive Company’s Sicilian Lemon White Balsamic Vinegar for a Mediterranean flair or Black Mission Fig Dark Balsamic Vinegar for a California twist!
